Caregivers' Day Off

St John’s, in partnership with Olive Crest and Social services, offers a fun filled day for the children and teens of all RFA and kinship families in Orange County.   Caregivers drop off their children and receive a well-deserved break for four hours.

Let's give these caregivers that are doing the extraordinary a pause from their efforts so they can do the ordinary, rest, recharge, and continue to be a light in the lives of these children that God has entrusted them with.

It takes almost 120 volunteers to love and serve these children and we are in need of your help and the gift of your presence.

We have various opportunities for you to serve at this event. Activities include a Lego station, craft table, bible lesson, and much more!  Lunch is provided for both attendees and volunteers.

Volunteers arrive at 9am in Walker Hall to check in. We will gather at the lunch tables in the schoolyard to pray and go over the plans for the day.

Thank you for making a difference!

Event runs from 10am to 2pm
Third Saturday of each month**

Volunteers interact with kids (ranging in age from babies to 17 years of age) with age appropriate games, crafts, food and fun, giving the children one-on-one attention and having a wonderful time building relationships.
